Story
Spectrum Gaming and the PDA Society are two small, autistic-led charities passionate about making a big difference.
Spectrum Gaming is an online gaming community created by Autistic adults, for Autistic young people. Through our support, we are able to prove to young people that who they are is ok, despite the struggles they may face living in a world that isn't made for them. We prove that they can be themselves, but still develop meaningful connections and achieve what they would like to. We aim to start with one space, but then hopefully create more change so autism is accepted everywhere.
The PDA Society provides information, support and training about PDA for individuals, families and professionals. Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) is widely understood to be a profile on the autism spectrum. We aim to increase acceptance and understanding of a PDA profile, and to improve outcomes for individuals and families by focusing everyone involved on what helps. We are led and run by a small team, all of whom have a direct connection with PDA and many of whom are volunteers.
All donations received will be split 50:50 between Spectrum Gaming and the PDA Society.
