Story

Walk a mile (or more!) a day in May to raise money for SFAC

*** BREAKING NEWS ***

A very generous supporter has agreed to match the first £5,000 donated! So every £ you donate is being doubled!

*** Now, back to regular programming ***

If you thought The Proclaimers* were making a big statement when they sang I would walk 500 miles, then were about to make an even bigger one!

With your help, we want to walk 5,987 miles

And raise £1 for every mile!

Why 5,987 miles?! Because, this May, we're going back to where it all began in honour of our 20th birthday

That's right, with your help we're going to cover the distance from Leeds, UK, to Sao Paulo, Brazil, symbolically following in the footsteps of our founder, Mick Pease and his wife, Brenda, whose time in Brazil planted the seed for what was to become SFAC.

Of course, they were smart and flew but where's the fun in that?!

We'd love you to join us by walking a mile (or more!) each day in May and donating or raising £1 for every mile.

*not sure what were talking about?! This clip will make it clear!

About the charity

When child care & protection services don't work as they should, children are at risk of experiencing long term harm or even dying. That's why SFAC's team of social workers, therapists & lawyers train people involved in the care & protection of children worldwide so children everywhere thrive!
