In June, twenty three Ward 3 staff walked 300,000 steps each, setting our recommended benchmark. This is 10,000 steps a day and is approximately 4 or 5 miles so If you're not able to do this please feel free to set your own achievable goal.
Your participation not only gives you a healthy boost but will help raise vital funds for The Bubble Foundation, based at the Great North Children's Hospital. This organisation provides crucial support to children undergoing life-saving bone marrow transplants in one of the country's leading units. Without a transplant, they would likely die before they have their first birthday, even a cold could kill them.
These transplants are a lifeline for the children but come with significant challenges. The Bubble Foundation offers essential support to families while their children are in a sterile environment known as "the bubble," where they are protected from infections. The funds we raise will directly enhance the ward's facilities, provide comfort items, and create a more welcoming and supportive environment for these families during their difficult journey.

If we take a leaf out of Becky's book, she shared her justgving page to all her friends and family and took it around the school yard sharing with other parents. Becky also linked up her Fitbit to her Justgiving page, updating her sponsors with how she was doing. Becky also opted for a physical sponsor form, great for people who don't or can't donate online but it also included a QR code for people who did.
