Story

In 2021 after a normal pregnancy my daughter was born not breathing and had to be resuscitated. After two unsuccessful attempts at resuscitation she was rushed to begin therapeutic cooling. She was diagnosed with HIE (hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy) and was rushed to NICU at St Peter’s hospital.

For the first two years of her life she was under great care from a myriad of healthcare teams and emotionally and socially she is doing really well. Physically she is developmentally delayed. She now has the opportunity to get some life changing intensive therapy treatment with the NAPA Centre in London in May 2025. The total cost of the treatment is £5280. I will be raising £4000.

7.5% of all donations to Tree of Hope in relation to this appeal will be allocated to the general charitable purposes of Tree of Hope to cover our core operating costs.

If we raise insufficient funds, or surplus funds, they will be used, if appropriate, to fund support for our child’s needs in accordance with Tree of Hope’s charitable objectives. If, in those circumstances, we are unable to use all or part of the funds for the benefit of our child, any funds that cannot be used will be transferred to be used for the general charitable purposes of Tree of Hope.
