Everyday SENAC hear from parents about their struggles to get the right support to meet their children's needs. This can mean endless forms, emails, calls, meetings, chasing responses and appealing decisions. Overwhelming, exhausting tasks while caring for your family.
I didn't know where to turn, it all became too much for us, for our child, and school had done their best, but our daughter needed specialist help. She couldn't go to school and was so sad and anxious. SENAC helped us take an appeal and we got the specialist support needed. It has made such a difference, our daughter is back in school and now doing well, we see it in her smiles when she comes home each day.
SENAC have been privileged to advise and support hundreds of parents and their children each year. We provide independent advice and information on the SEN system and give parents the knowledge and confidence it takes to voice their child's needs.

Every step you take will give another child every chance to learn.
You go your own way. You choose the venue, date and time and set your own target. (1k is approx. 1390 steps) Walk round your garden or complete a 10k walk in the park. Complete your walk with friends, family or just you and your dog. Whichever you choose, we would truly welcome your support.
With summer approaching why not use this as motivation to get out and about in the many amazing places and scenic walks we have in Northern Ireland.
We just ask that you complete your challenge by the end of August.
We may be going our own way in our events, but we come together in our support of better resourcing and greater equality in education for our children.
