April 2025 - We now have 'BROCK' by Lorcan O'Byrne!

Welcome to the Friends of Selsdon Wood (FSW) JustGiving page. Many of you will have seen the original carvings by Alasdair Craig of Essex Chainsaw Carving of Owls, the Green Man and the woodland animals that appeared in our wood in Spring 2024.

If you would like to see more please make a donation: each Lorcan creation costs a minimum of £500 for the carving plus about £75 for the special natural preservative. The more you give, the more carvings we can commission to make our wood even lovelier and more interesting to those who do not come especially for the birds, flora and fauna.

Our original target of £1200 was achieved in a little over a month! We were delighted by everyone's generosity in getting there so quickly. Please add some more to help us reach our new combined £2400 target so we can commission more.
