Welcome to the Friends of Selsdon Wood (FSW) JustGiving page. Many of you will have seen the carvings by Alasdair Craig of Essex Chainsaw Carving of Owls, the Green Man and the woodland animals that have appeared in our wood during Spring 2024.

We hope eventually to have enough carvings to make a trail for our visitors to follow to find them all.

If you would like to help these plans along, please make a donation: each costs a minimum of £600 for the carving plus about £75 for the special natural preservative. The more you give, the more carvings we can commission to make our wood even lovelier and more interesting to those who do not come especially for the birds, flora and fauna.

Our original target was achieved in a little over a month! We have been delighted by everyone's generosity in getting there so quickly. When will we be able to afford and maintain more?
