Story
We’re getting involved on Friday 15th November by joining in with Challenge Yourself – challenging students and staff to come to school dressed down in non-uniform, take on sponsored challenges, baking challenges, or have a go at their own challenge.
This year Secondary schools and colleges are invited to take part in Challenge Yourself for BBC Children in Need! Right now, 30% of children and young people across the UK are affected by poverty, plus for every life changing project funded by BBC Children in Need, the charity must turn away seven. In order to keep funding organisations that offer vital help to children and their families, we need support from schools like yours.
Secondary schools and colleges can join in by asking students and staff to come to school dressed down in non-uniform, take on sponsored challenges like running and baking, or think up their own creative challenge, all to raise money for BBC Children in Need.
Your donation really does make a difference:
- £2 PAYS FOR A HYGIENE PACK for a young person affected by poverty, providing basics like toothpaste and body wash to help improve health and confidence
- £15 PAYS FOR A 1:1 SUPPORT SESSION for a young person affected by domestic abuse, helping them talk through their feelings and build resilience
- £40 PAYS FOR ONLINE GROUP SESSIONS for 40 young people affected by social anxiety, helping them build confidence and develop relationships.
