Story
St.Colms GAC Ballinacreen won their first ever County Derry Boys Féile Peile na nÓg this year 2022 and will travel to St Jude's Dublin on the 2nd July to compete in the National Football Day.
Our club had previously won Féile titles in Hurling, Camogie and Girls Football, but not in Boys football; although we have competed in the National Football Féile before in 1984 (by virtue of being the previous years U14 county Champions) and in 2013 when the Féile was held in County Derry.
This Ballinascreen side have prepared long and hard for the Féile, from a Winter programme including the multi-gym and sports hall basketball since November; to football sessions taking place over the Christmas holidays and on into the New Year Pre-Season; with numerous challenge matches building up to the start of the league and County Derry Féile on April 23rd and final on April 30th.
As with any team that has represented our club in a National Féile, we would like to proudly represent Ballinascreen in the latest club gear, and to that extent we have ordered new training tops and half zips for our entire squad of 40 boys.
Additionally, the club have hired a luxury coach to transport the full squad and management to our venue in County Kildare, stopping for breakfast on the way down and an evening meal on the way home in a hotel.
This JustGiving page will be the main fund raiser to help towards the associated expenses (and hopefully the only one if we raise enough).
If you can help this squad in any way, it would be most appreciated.
