Story
We are taking on the 23 miles from Glasgow to Balloch this year at Glasgow Kiltwalk to raise funds and awareness for our crucial work.
The asylum system is becoming more unkind, ineffective and inhumane by the day. People fleeing war and persecution are being left in a state of limbo and uncertainty as a result of UK government policies – separated from their families and barred from finding work. Many are currently facing homelessness.
We work to support and advocate for those in the the asylum in a variety of ways, such as through our refugee integration services, our national helpline or our family rights services. You can find out more about our work here➡️ https://scottishrefugeecouncil.org.uk/
We appreciate our supporters during a period in which asylum-seeking rights are increasingly under threat as it not only as it facilitates us to offer our services, but shows us that we are not alone in the work we do.
Every penny you donate goes a long way in aiding us to support refugees and asylum seekers in Scotland, ensuring they get a warm Scottish welcome from our team.
