As Coronavirus continues to spread across the country, disabled people need our support more than ever.

This is a difficult time for all of us, but the uncertainty and distress, facing disabled people is even more heightened. From worries about personal health and self-isolation; to the shortage of carers and the scarcity of essential supplies and supermarket delivery slots.

Our helpline is experiencing unprecedented demand and has already responded to more than 2,000 calls this month from disabled people concerned about their wellbeing.

With the closure of our shops and cancellation of fundraising events, we now need more individuals to support us to raise the funds we so desperately need to continue providing our services.

Your fundraising is vital.

It costs £9 to answer a call to our helpline. With your support, we're aiming to raise £36,000, which could pay for the 4,000 calls were expecting over April and May.

- £9 could pay for a typical call to our helpline, giving people vital support and information. We need this now more than ever as more people call us for support and advice.

- £25 could cover the cost of providing advice from a trained professional on our online community.

- £75 could go towards our parent support services, giving parents of disabled children practical, tailored advice on a range of topics. We are currently providing these services online, supporting parents with disabled children at home during this time.

- £1,000 could help us reach over 100 new online community users - disabled people and their families in need of support.

Whether you're hosting a quiz with friends and family or challenging yourself to do 50 press ups a day, your support means we can be there for disabled people during this uncertain time. And you're helping those around you to stay active, positive and connected.
