Story
Susie-Belle was saved from a puppy farm after 8 long years of suffering. She required months of vet care and had her sight restored by the rescue which took her in and where she first experienced what it is to be loved. The cost for her surgery ran into several thousands of pounds.
Susie-Belle was adopted by Janetta Harvey who recognised the huge financial commitment it was for a rescue to fund this treatment. Janetta is founder of Schnauzerfest, a charity dedicated to supporting rescue work and especially helping dogs saved from the breeding industry, as Susie-Belle was. Sadly she died 4 years after being adopted. This fund is dedicated to Susie-Belle's memory.
Schnauzerfest fundraising has paid for life transforming, sight-restoring surgery for many dogs. When dogs are saved from puppy farms and traumatic backgrounds, they face many hurdles to adjusting to their new lives. If their sight can be restored, it removes a major one for them. It is what this fund is dedicated to supporting and every donation made, will go towards paying for this specialist treatment for rescued dogs.
