#SaveYourHospice
Now more than ever we need your support. The reality is, because of the shocking impact of the Coronavirus, which has of course impacted so many people in the community, the Hospice of the Good Shepherd is now facing an unprecedented financial crisis, a position the Hospice never thought it would be in. Our income from fundraising has stopped and without urgent financial support we will run out of money in a matter of months.
The Hospice is a charity and only receives 25% of its income from government funding this means it has to raise just over £3million each year from donations and fundraising events and of course this has now all had to stop. The Hospice is anticipating that it will be at least £1.1 million short of the income needed for the year, and obviously with no events or fundraising activities for the foreseeable future cash flow is critical and it wont take long for the financial impact to hit and hit hard
Even during these difficult times, the amazing staff at the Hospice are focused on continuing to deliver the high-quality end of life care that so many members of this community have experienced. The Hospice will have supported a member of your family, or a friend, or a neighbour or colleague and you will know just how precious this Hospice is to our community.
We know that everyone is facing uncertain and challenging times but we would ask you to donate to help the Hospice now so that we can continue to deliver much-needed end of life care and bereavement support for our community for many years to come.
