Story
Waverley is the last sea-going paddle steamer in the world. She was gifted to the Paddle Steamer Preservation Society (PSPS) for £1 in 1974 and triumphantly returned to service in 1975.
To date Waverley has carried over 6 million passengers in preservation and regularly visits over 60 ports and piers around the U.K. giving tens of thousands an opportunity to experience this iconic vessel.
In May 2019 it was announced that Waverley was withdrawn from service for the 2019 season as her boilers require replacing. The charity which owns Waverley has no reserves to fund this project and is requesting support to ensure that Waverley sails again. Without new boilers the ship will never steam again.
