Forncett - A Village of Stories: The Restoration of St Peters Church, Forncett

Help Save St Peter’s Church in Forncett!

We are thrilled to announce that the Upper Tas Valley All Saints Parochial Church Council (PCC) has been awarded a full delivery grant of £631,462 from The National Lottery Heritage Fund, following an initial development grant of £33,274.

This generous funding will allow us to remove St Peter’s Church from Historic England’s Heritage at Risk Register, and this work is now commencing.

But this is not the end of our campaign:-

With your support, we can deliver a wide range of exciting community engagement activities and create an innovative interpretive scheme that will captivate visitors of all ages.

Items excluded from the NHLF grant still need funding – installing heating, providing disabled access & parking, restoration of Drake’s Tomb and re-decoration once all the structural work is finished.
