#SavePAWS

PAWS faces closure as our landlord has given us 6 month's notice to vacate our current site. The race is on to find somewhere suitable to move to, hopefully not too far away.

Story

UPDATE 23rd August 2024

Following further discussion with Oldham Council and two planning applications, the trustees have come to the sad decision that the land purchased in 2023 should be sold. We have spent £15,000 on planning consultancy and planning fees and we are still no further forward.

We are looking for a new home AGAIN! A purchase or rental with a few acres of grazing or space for dog exercise, building(s) or a footprint, and space for a static caravan for our animal caregiver to live on site.

If you know of anything please text 07833 736325.

We are back on the fundraising trail again as we will need to raise more money to pay for this project. If you can help by running your own fundraiser then that would be a great help too!

2022 - We have to move. Our landlord has given us 6 months to find somewhere else, which is a very tall order. Our rescue has been in the area for many years now and during that time we have rescued and rehomed over 1,500 animals. We need to buy or rent a new site where we can build kennels and a cattery. Somewhere for a static caravan and with enough land so the dogs can have off-lead exercise. There will be many costs involved in moving and rebuilding. We have some deposit money already, about £15,000, we'd be equally happy to have a long-term lease. We will be holding lots of events to try and raise even more money towards the cost of moving. If you want to run your own fundraiser attached to this campaign you can too.
