Little Owls is a charity preschool in the beautiful South Cambridgeshire Village of Haslingfield. The setting is run by a committee of volunteers who spend a lot of their time fundraising as well as supporting the managers and staff. We rely heavily on government funding, fees and charitable donations for the day to day running of the preschool.

Unfortunately, the funding that we receive from the government only covers 70% of our running costs per child. This, combined with the ramifications of the Pandemic and a low intake this year has left us desperately needing to make up the shortfall to remain open for the next academic year.

The setting itself has been running for over 50 years, with members of the incoming committee having attended themselves as children! Little Owls sits at the heart of the Village, operating out of Haslingfield's Methodist Church, we have been dearly loved and generously supported by our wonderful community for decades. Through this, we know that our thriving village benefits from having a safe and nurturing pre-school for the under 5's to enjoy, with a gorgeous ethos, a fabulous outside space and a warm and welcoming environment inside; it really is such a precious amenity.

In 2022 we were delighted to receive a 'Good' OFSTED rating. The report reflected all the hard work and dedication our incredible staff and committee have embed into the setting and we are so proud of the result.

Our child numbers have already increased since the beginning of the year and with a positive forecasted intake for September 2023, it is crucial we spare no effort in protecting our much loved preschool.
