Story

After a year of such great change, Santa and his elves are leaving nothing to chance and will be doing a practice run around East Anglia ahead of their big night on Christmas Eve and they want you to join them!

Their rehearsal, between Thursday, 10 and Sunday, 13 December, is being turned into a friendly Christmas competition, Santas vs Elves, to support East Anglias Childrens Hospices (EACH). Team Santa and Team Elf are recruiting now for people to walk, run, hop, skip or dance three miles or their own festive freestyle distance. Participants are being asked to try and raise at least £10 per person in sponsorship to help EACH raise funds for children and young people with life threatening conditions.

We need your support now more than ever. Thanks to our amazing supporters, we have been able to meet our first challenge, surviving the initial devastating drop in income and supporting our families to protect themselves at home. However, our loss of income will continue for some time, including a period of recovery over the coming months and years that carries huge uncertainty. This impact could affect our ability to deliver vital care and support to families in the future.

We are now seeing an increased number of requests for support as families become exhausted from providing care on their own and there will be a significant surge in need as shielding restrictions lift we have to be able to offer our full range of services as soon as it is safe to do so.

With your help we can continue to provide a lifeline to families across East Anglia who are undoubtedly even more concerned about their childs wellbeing than usual, and who will need all of the care and support that EACH can provide to see them through this difficult time.

THANK YOU for everything that you are able to do and for making a difference to families during this challenging and uncertain time.
