Visit the charity's profileThis year, our 135th anniversary, we celebrate 20 years of girls at Sandroyd and two decades 20 years since we opened our Pre-Prep. We are marking these milestones by launching an important fundraising campaign that embodies the very essence of Sandroyd's motto, 'Niti est Nitere' - to strive is to shine.
Partnering with the Royal Springboard Foundation we aim to increase the number of Transformational 100% Bursaries that we offer. Last year, our fundraising efforts raised just over £50,000, and this year we are keen to go even further in our pursuit of funding a Sandroyd education for children facing the greatest barriers to their development. These bursaries provide life-changing educational experiences to deserving pupils from less privileged backgrounds.
We have seen first-hand the impact these bursaries have on children and their families. They not only provide stability but also nurture ambition, resilience, and the vital 'soft skills' that are at the heart of a Sandroyd education. We always ensure that we can find a senior school willing to fund the next stage of education for these pupils. Previous award holders have gone on to achieve great things, gaining prestigious scholarships and awards both in education and beyond.
