**UPDATE**
A huge thank you to all of you amazing people who have donated to our appeal to help raise money for surgery for the lovely Samsung and the other animals in our care! We are absolutely blown away by the amount of support this has received and are so grateful.
Due to veterinary advice and the urgency of his treatment, we made the decision to go ahead with the surgery before reaching our target to give him the best possible chance at survival. The whole team were holding their breath when he went in for his appointment and we were waiting for the call but we needn't have worried.
The surgery went really well and he is already full of beans! We would still really appreciate any donations towards his treatment you might be able to give so please do support our appeal and share if you can.
Hi my name is Samsung. I am 17 weeks old and I have been diagnosed with a life threatening heart condition, although my foster mum says you would never believe it the way I race around chasing her cats. I am a very happy kitten who loves to give kisses and steal the odd biscuit from my friends. I was signed over to the RSPCA with my mum and siblings. They have all been adopted now but I cannot until my heart has been fixed.
Sweet little Samsung was brought into our care at only one week old after his owner could no longer look after him, his Mum and his brothers and sisters.
At a routine health check he was found to have a high grade heart murmur but when this was investigated further, sadly he was found to have Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA) which is a heart defect caused at birth. This means his heart is not pumping blood correctly and if he does not receive treatment for this life threatening condition, sadly he will not survive.
We want to do all we can for Samsung and try to give him the second chance he deserves but we need your help. The surgery we are raising money for will help give him a fighting chance at survival and if successful, will mean he can live a long happy life in a forever home of his own.
Samsung is only seventeen weeks old and could have a long happy life ahead of him full of catnip, toys and love but we need your help to get him there. The operation has been quoted to cost at least £3000 but with aftercare and additional treatment it could be as much as £4000.
If you can help in anyway, please contribute to our appeal and help us to help him and the other animals in our care.
Donations made to this appeal will go towards Samsung's care, any surplus funds raised which cannot be used for his care will be used to support the work of the RSPCA Mid Norfolk and North Suffolk Branch.
Thank you for your support.
