'People in the music industry are used to getting their voices heard through music. So imagine how thrilled we were when More Time Records co-founder Sam Interface agreed to run the Brighton Marathon for Speak Out! Sam has discovered a new passion for running Marathons and recently successfully completed the Istanbul marathon.

Sam grew up near Glastonbury and has been a frequent visitor and performing artist at the Glastonbury Festival. The vast eclectic line ups of the Festival was a huge influence on Sam’s musical taste, he loved the sounds of the West Holts stage especially, It was here in 2000, after watching Roni Size Represent that he developed his first musical obsession - Drum n Bass / Jungle Music.

Sam Interface has been producing dance floor heat for well over a decade. He released his first productions during the late 2000’s using the name “Interface” including DnB classics like “Get Lo” and “Bright Lights”. In 2011 he linked up with Trinidadian producer Keshav to form Jus Now. The combination of their disparate styles brought something truly unique to Club Music and Soca Music and their track “Tun Up” blew up dance floors all over the world in 2013. They produced records with stars like Busy Signal, Beenie Man, Stylo G, Machel Montano and Miss Dynamite & “The Viking of Soca”- Bunji Garlin including the hits “Truck on d Road” & “Big Bad Soca”.

Constantly chasing new creative paths, 2017 saw Sam launch More Time Records with DJ Ahadadream. He kicked off the label in 2017 with an 24/7 EP alongside Uk Garage legend Zed Bias. Alongside this Sam has also managed to forge a career as one of the most respected Mix Engineers in the UK. Adding his Bass heavy sonics to massive Hits for artists like Wiley, Idris Elba, Stefflon Don, Sean Paul, Bugzy Malone, Aitch, Young T & Bugsey, M.O., Ray Blk and many more.

In 2022 he was shortlisted for a Grammy for best Reggae Album for his work on Runkus & Toddla T’s Album - OUT:SIDE. Sam lives in South East London with his partner 6 music DJ and Broadcaster, Jamz Supernova and their two-year-old daughter.

Please lend your support to Sam and to Speak Out on the 7th April when he runs the Marathon. Members of the Speak Out team will also be there running the 10k'
