Story
"The first trek I did for the Salisbury Hospice Charity was Mont Blanc. I trained to the best of my ability and was physically as ready as I would ever be.
Trekking through the mountains of France, Switzerland and Italy was breath-taking but walking and talking with others in the group was a precious, and most unexpected, gift.
Each person was walking with a purpose: in memory of a loved one, to support a friend, to honour a promise, and it was the sharing of their stories, either at the end of a long day, or on top of a high mountain peak, which made the trek such a rewarding and inspirational challenge.
There were tears, of course there were tears ... sad, happy, frustrated, painful, joyous and celebratory!
And before the last day of the trek arrived, we were already talking about the next trek, the next challenge, and here it is - Croatia."
