Founded in 2002 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the SCNM Sage Foundation exists for the sole purpose of providing healthcare to underserved families and children in Maricopa County. Our mission, To provide the unserved, underserved and indigent people of Arizona with quality natural and conventional healthcare is accomplished through care provided at community clinics across Maricopa County by Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine & Health Sciences (SCNM).
The community clinics serve patients with the best of conventional medicine (e.g. prescription medicines, lab work), preventative and alternative medicine (e.g. acupuncture, clinical nutrition, supplements, homeopathy).
Donations to Sage qualify for the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit! Any Arizona taxpayer is eligible to claim this credit and it does not conflict with other Arizona tax credits (including public, private school and foster care). This means you can stack your tax credits! Individuals can donate up to $400 and couples filing jointly can donate up to $800 and get it back on your state taxes! If you itemize your federal taxes, your gift to the SCNM Sage Foundation will also qualify as a federal deduction.
