As a company and as Directors we are very aware of our importance in the community as a large and historic employer and our Corporate Responsibility. We are aware of our environmental commitment in the community and recognize the protection of the environment as one of the principal business responsibilities. In 2021 the Company invested in many carbon reduction activities including solar panels, battery storage, bio fuel generator, electric car charging points and other site improvements. We also aim to support local activities in the area such as the annual Science Festival, local sports teams and kits (football kits, Cheltenham Junior Hockey) as well as local charities.

We engaged with our employees on which charities they wanted to support with donations and activities. From our collective experience we shortlisted 7 local charities covering a wide range of needs and issues. We then provided a summary of these charities and what each one does and asked all employees to vote on their preferred choice. The Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice what it is and what it does was a clear, strong selection from our employees and as a result we are delighted to be supporting Sue Ryder as one of our two chosen charities this year.
