Imagine you're going out for a run with a friend. Their half of the running route is clear, yet yours is lined with hurdles. Unfair, right? But that's what our education system is like for children experiencing poverty in the UK.

One in four children in the UK live in poverty. They don’t get the opportunities they need to thrive in school. And when they leave, they’re more likely to end up out of work or further training.

Your support can change that. Together, we can support the schools and children facing the toughest challenges. We find and train the best new teachers, placing them in the areas most in need. And we equip schools across the country serving deprived communities with training, expertise and resources.

Let’s make sure all children, no matter where they grow up, can be whoever they want to be.

In 2023, Run the River raised more than £250,000 for Teach First. This year we're aiming to raise the same amount, including £25,000 from this campaign.

How can your donation make a difference?

£50 One hour’s career session for six pupils.

£100 Could provide a pupil with a week of virtual work experience.

£500 Could pay for two teachers to have professional coaching.

£6,000 Could fund a careers leader to provide careers education for 750 pupils.
