The pandemic hit Ruils' disabled and elderly clients hard, leaving many struggling with isolation and anxiety. Waiting lists for our support services, such as Counselling and Befriending, are very long.
Counselling at Ruils provides a safe and supportive space for parents of disabled young people, or those who are disabled or have mental health conditions themselves, to discuss their concerns and find ways to cope. Our service is unique locally, as it is free of charge to those who need it the most.
To add much needed capacity to our Counselling service, and reach more clients, a team of 20 members of staff, volunteers and supporters is taking on the virtual London Marathon. We'll be walking 26.2 miles from central London to Hampton Court.
Please support us as generously as you can!
