Story
It's my 44th birthday and I'm raising money for rubber matting in our new stables!
Obviously I will be celebrating with my herd and everyone at Park Lane Stables. But! I have strictly forbidden any birthday carrots for something more practical: Rubber matting for the stables in Teddington!
Rubber matting? Sounds like a dream come true! I mean, have you ever tried doing the birthday hokey pokey on cold, hard concrete? Trust me, it's not pretty. So, I've decided to start a birthday fundraiser to raise money for the rubber matting. Because let's face it, a happy horse is a horse with comfortable flooring under its hooves!
What's the big deal with rubber matting?
Seriously though, this matting will be easier on our joints, mean less bedding is needed and that means fewer trips with the muck-truck to dump the manure. That in turn will save diesel and lower our carbon hoofprint!
Whether you donate a little or a lot, every contribution counts. Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of me and my fellow stablemates. So, if you're able to spare a few pennies, please consider donating to my birthday fundraiser.
Yours truly,
Prodney

What we do
We're a small stables with a big heart. We're an award winning Riding for the Disabled (RDA) centre. We work with children and adults, with disabilities and without, offering equine and hippotherapy and act as a social hub. We are inclusive and welcoming, be it to receive respite from the challenges faced by daily life, a quick horsey cuddle to lift the spirits or a chat with one of our staff or volunteers
About Us
We are a registered RDA (Riding for the Disabled Association) centre with a wide programme of activities, including assisted riding, horse care, carriage driving, and hippotherapy. We daily see how being around horses enriches the lives of children and adults with disabilities or learning difficulties. Whether on the autistic spectrum, visually impaired, or a full-time wheelchair user, we offer activities that can help improve confidence, skills and self-esteem, set within a supportive and friendly environment. All sessions are run by fully trained RDA instructors and DBS-checked volunteers.
