Story
Take on the Race to the base virtual challenge this March and raise funds for a life-saving cause.
Whether you're a seasoned athlete or looking for your first fitness challenge, there's an option for everyone.
Choose from three distances which you can walk, jog, run or ride. Three of our critical care paramedics are taking on the challenge too and will be supporting you along the way.
32 miles - Join Team Lee and you'll be following the distance our critical care team takes when flying back to base at Teesside from the RVI Hospital, Newcastle.
46 miles - Join Team Tim and cover the distance helicopter G-NHAB travels from our regions major trauma hospital to Cumbria airbase.
130 Miles - Join Team Jamie and complete the ultimate distance; 130 miles from the RVI, Newcastle to both our airbases and back again.
By taking on this challenge, you're ensuring we can continue to cover the distance and save lives across the region.
Entry is £10 and you can sign up via the Great North Air Ambulance Service website.
Share your challenge on social media using #Race2Base and start fundraising for our life-saving cause. Are you ready?
