Bust the Winter Blues! Gather a team to smash Race The Thames Virtual (January 22) or Race The Thames Copper Box (March 22). Raise vital funds for London Youth Rowing's work to get young people active, and support other charities along the way!
Race The Thames Virtual 2022 - bringing teams together to bust the winter blues!
Race The Thames is the annual fundraising event run by London Youth Rowing - we are looking to get teams of up to 8 people from companies, clubs, groups of friends to take on the challenge of virtually covering the River Thames (346km, Source to Sea) or the Tidal Thames (72km). You can get a sense of the competition from the 2021 highlights video.
The money raised will be used to help support LYR's work in London and Leeds. LYR's programmes allow young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to take part in rowing, giving them the benefit of participating in the sport and allowing them to fulfil their potential. The gallery below shows the impact LYR's work has for young people.
Teams will also be able to register a second charity who will receive up to 50% of funds raised.
