Story
Leybourne Animal Centre is a 23 acre site used for the rehabilitation and rehoming of domestic animals. In addition to this we are also a temporary holding centre for wildlife casualties. The centre was built with the support of the national RSPCA and local branches and opened in June 1996. There are 42 kennels licensed for 57 dogs and 40 cat pens licensed for 72 cats. There is also a small animal house which caters for just about everything else! It has 16 rabbit runs 4 Ferret pens, 3 small rooms to house rodents, birds and wildlife, hutches for guinea pigs plus 2 stables and wooden arks so that fowl - and sometimes farm stock - have shelters.
It costs the RSPCA over £1,400 a day to run Leybourne Animal Centre. We rely entirely on kind donations from people like you.
