Story
As a result of the Coronavirus epidemic and this further lockdown , the RSPCA Hull and East Riding Branch has seen almost all of its income stop and put a halt to the final big push of the re-build which we've worked so hard to achieve. There are very few grants available for animal charities and as such we rely heavily on self generated income and fundraising. All of our spring events are now cancelled, our three charity shops are closed, people cannot leave their homes to donate and we can no longer continue rehoming.
When we are fully operational, our Clough Road Rescue Centre costs around £30,000 a month to run. With virtually all our animals needing some form of vet treatment, those bills alone can come in at £5K a month! Due to the rebuild and challenges of last year we now have limited reserves and if the lockdown continues we will be at very real risk of not being able to relaunch this year, after all the goodwill and efforts of our wonderful supporters.
We know it's a huge ask at a time of financial uncertainty for so many of you, but we will need more support if we are to survive this crisis.
Please donate to this new campaign if you can. Share it with your friends; talk to your employers about how they may be able to help; run your own online fundraising campaign and link it directly to this campaign. Whatever you can do, we cannot thank you enough!
Thank you from all the Clough Road team.
