The stats:
Today there are an estimated 44,000 blind and partially sighted children in England and Wales. Every day, four more children will be diagnosed with sight loss.
Statistically they are at a disadvantage in life:
90% of those who lose their sight in youth will never have a long-term job
Two thirds of blind people are living on or below the poverty line
Most will never have a meaningful relationship
Your vital support:
By taking on the London Marathon this year you're ensuring we can change this. It's brilliant to have you with us. Best of luck #TeamRSBC and thank you for ensuring more blind children can live a life without limits.
