Story
Each year RSACC supports around 1000 survivors of sexual violence in Darlington and County Durham, while shame and stigma prevents many more people from coming forward to access support.
The impacts of rape and sexual violence can be devastating and long lasting, including poor mental health, depression, anxiety, PTSD, flashbacks, negative coping strategies such as drug and alcohol misuse, self harm and suicidal thoughts.
We know that our services can make a difference: RSACC seeks to end rape and sexual violence in Darlington and County Durham by empowering survivors to understand and recover from their trauma, providing a safe confidential space to grow confidence and self esteem, and take back control of their lives.
You can help us to be there for more people who have experienced sexual abuse by donating to this campaign:
