Story
At the end of 2020, members of Royal Docks Fitness decided to embark on a challenge worthy of testing each individuals resolve in order to raise money for amazing causes that will have a lasting impact on peoples lives.
Therefore, after much healthy debate fuelled by many alcoholic beverages and drawing from the inspiration from other members of the CrossFit community, we decided to take on the Grit Check challenge. An arduous and torturous event which no doubt will bring out the very best and probably the worst of each participant.
It begins with a 2 mile run and then Every Hour On the Hour, each athlete must run another 2 miles. Every time the run is completed, 1 point is awarded. After the run, for the remainder of the hour, points can also be earned by completing either one of the following exercises; 50% body weight clean: (1 point) or 100% body weight clean: (5 points). The athlete that completes the full 24 hours, and has the accumulated the greatest number of points, is crowned the Grit Check champion.
We hope that our ambitious physical and mental challenge will give our sponsors the pleasure of donating money to worthwhile causes whilst having peace of mind that the fundraisers suffered in their endeavours.
As a group, we would be greatly honoured if you please help us reach our £5,000 target across the 3 charities.

Keeping within the key themes of the SJP foundation, we have selected 3 charities that support mental health, cancer support and helping young individuals from disadvantaged communities. All 3 charities are local to Royal Docks Fitness community. Each charity does amazing work in helping people at key moments in their lives and our goal is to raise funds for each cause so they can continue to support the local community.
All of this money will be going to hugely worthwhile causes to help people in need. Thank you for all your help and support.
