Story
Syrian orphans (who are also refugees) had to endure trauma after trauma: wars, home destructions, witnessed the killing of parents and relatives in Syria. They were internally displaced several times, then fled to Safety in the neighbouring countries.
Most of them missed their education, and the entire generation became children of special educational needs (mental, emotional, educational and sometimes physical needs)
Rays of Hope has an amazing, strong and caring team of 100 brothers and sisters who are also Syrian refugees. They provide the orphans with an excellent care package which includes mentoring and basic literacy classes (reading and writing). Additionally, children are helped to read and memorise the Quran to the highest possible standards of fluency, accuracy and authenticity.
The cost of caring and supporting one refugee orphan is £300 a year, which can be split into 12 monthly payments of £25 a month.
Two reporting cards a year can be shared upon request.
The reporting card will include:
Orphan's name (first name only)
Photo (only if the mother consented)
Age
Gender
Health issues
Detailed report on Quran reading and Quran Hifz progress
Local school update (if they attend a school)
Please note, due to being displaced refugees, some orphans might move to other towns or countries. If your orphan is lost we will transfer the sponsorship to another orphan and send you an update.
