1,624 lives were tragically lost on UK roads. That’s 1,624 families shattered and futures stolen. The RoadPeace Challenge 2025 invites you to walk, run, or cycle to collectively reach 1,624 miles — one mile for every life taken.
Your participation helps fund vital services, including:
* Helpline support for families in crisis.
* Peer-support groups to connect those affected by road crashes.
* Resilience-building programs to help families rebuild their lives.
* Justice system guidance to support victims' families.
* Advocacy to improve road safety and demand accountability.
* Remembrance services to honour those taken too soon.
The concept of the RoadPeace Challenge 2025:
✔️ Supporters can choose to walk, run, or cycle in memory of lives lost
✔️We will count down from 1,624 to zero – to reflect our UK Vision Zero efforts
✔️Anybody can take part – no distance is too short
✔️Supporters can take part alone or as part of a team
✔️Participants can cover a short distance each day or complete one main event
✔️Track your progress throughout the week.
✔️Share your journey using #RoadPeaceChallenge2025 to inspire others.
"Every step, mile, and donation empowers our work to improve road safety and support bereaved families," said Howard Jones, CEO of RoadPeace. "Together, we can create safer roads and move closer to a world where no life is needlessly lost to road crashes."
