This event raises money to support the RNLI's volunteer lifeboat crews and lifeguards. Its expected that 2021 will be one of the busiest years in the RNLI's 197 year history, so with the charity relying on the public's voluntary donations every pound raised will help to save more lives around the coastline.
This popular event is strictly limited to 450 swimmers and is open to anyone over the age of 14. Please note, participants should be intermediate or experienced open water swimmers.
Following the cancellation of last years event due to the Covid pandemic, initially places will be offered to last years participants before the event is then opened to the public.
The swim is an absolutely fantastic event largely run by volunteers, without whom it wouldn't be possible. It promises to be great fun with a fantastic atmosphere, so do come along and get involved.
If swimming isn't your thing but you would still like to be involved, please get in touch as there are many volunteering opportunities available on the day.
