#EndHateEducate Appeal

Following the recent riots across the country, we are launching the #EndHateEducate Appeal to end any misconceptions about refugees and migrants through learning initiatives to build community cohesion.

You may have seen or heard the news about the heartbreaking acts of violence and racist riots taking place in the UK. As a charity supporting marginalised people and their families for 25 years across Birmingham and Black Country, we stand in solidarity with our community who face an onslaught of hatred as a result of mainstreamed racism, fascism, Islamophobia, and the repeated dehumanisation of migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers.
On 7th August 2024, we closed our centre to ensure the safety of our clients and staff amid rumours right-wing protesters were to descend on RMC in Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham. Instead, hundreds of campaigners arrived showing their support and chanting "Refugees are welcome" (BBC News).
To stand in solidarity and promote better community cohesion, we are campaigning to tackle the root causes of the growing far-right rhetoric, breaking down misinformation and disinformation by creating a safe space for 'open dialogue' for the wider audience to ask any questions and an opportunity to attend one of the workshops that can help them enhance their knowledge on this particular subject.
I hope you can donate to support our #EndHateEducate campaign.
* We could create and deliver more workshops to help people understand more about refugees and migrants
* We could deliver more training to people about how to identify fake news, address misinformation and misconception
* Create new resources for the public to access for free, including the opportunity for the public to ask questions
Please help us hit our target of £3,000 by donating a generous amount towards the #EndHateEducate campign
