RAISING FUNDS FOR RIVERSIDE COMMUNITY TRUST

The work that RCT does is firmly rooted in meeting the needs of people in our community. People we meet often are overwhelmed and struggle to know where to start when accessing support. We offer practical supports such as referrals to food and fuel banks, as well as offering support to make contact with a variety of local statutory and charitable organisations who can help them. We run drop-ins twice a week where we provide meals and one to one support, and do outreach work in Ayr town centre and in the Wallacetown area of the town.

We have admired the what River Garden has done over the years offering a residential rehab facility for people looking to change their lives. Their ethos of 'Growing People' complements the work we do in the community, building resilience and personal growth so that people are ready to live in the community successfully.

Some of our supporters are walking from our base at Riverside Church in Ayr 10k to River Garden where we will then do some volunteering on the grounds and around the facility before we camp out over night.
