Story
Have you been able to read a newspaper recently? Check out a library book? Love who you want regardless of their gender?
To many of us, these questions can be answered with an immediate yes. Yet, there are many in the world who are not allowed these simple fundamental rights and freedoms. In fact, many people face being persecuted, silenced, tortured, or even forced to flee their country for doing things as simple as openly practicing their religion.
This April, we are raising awareness of the everyday rights and freedoms that people are still being persecuted for upholding...
...but we need your help to do it!
#RightsRealityCheck is your chance to choose an everyday right or freedom that many people around the world are not able to do, and commit to it, to show the world that even the little things should not be taken for granted!
For example, you might go for a run every day, check new books out of the library every week, dance with friends one weekend, or simply just buy a daily newspaper - all things that, unfortunately, not everyone is able to do.
You can read all about #RightsRealityCheck (and sign up for your fundraising pack) here. Make over £100 in donations (or get 3 friends to commit too) and we'll send you a free t-shirt or tote bag!
All you have to do is choose your challenge, commit to it in April, and share your experience with your friends and family!
Together we'll support those who give so much for our basic human rights and freedoms.
