Support Our Community: Your Donations Make a Difference
In Richmond Borough, two local charities - Animal Rescue & Care and The Otakar Kraus Music Trust urgently need your help to continue their vital work supporting abandoned animals and vulnerable people. YOUR DONATIONS WILL BE EQUALLY DIVIDED between these incredible organisations, each dedicated to transforming lives, and supported this year by The Selwyn, Richmond https://www.theselwyn.com/
Animal Rescue and Care (ARC) has been tirelessly working since 2001 to find loving homes for unwanted, homeless, and neglected animals. They have already helped over 8,000 animals find safety and love. But now, in the wake of the pandemic and the ongoing cost-of-living crisis, their work is more critical than ever. Countless pets are now abandoned or victims of cruelty. ARC steps in to rescue these animals, providing essential medical care and finding them new loving homes.

The Otakar Kraus Music Trust (OKMT) has been offering transformative music therapy in the Borough of Richmond for over 30 years. Their services help children with additional needs to communicate and engage with others, and supports adults with learning disabilities or neurological conditions and elderly people with dementia to have increased confidence, communication and mental well-being. As support services dwindle and the cost-of-living crisis makes access to activities more challenging, OKMT's work is increasingly vital.
