The Training Program provides athletic trainers to four regional schools on the Palouse: Colton, Garfield-Palouse, Pullman and Potlatch. A gift to the program is more than a donation, you're joining our winning team to keep high school athletes safe!
To ensure the health of high school athletes in our community, Pullman Regional Hospitals Orthopedic Center of Excellence has partnered with Colton, Garfield-Palouse, Potlatch and Pullman school districts to provide Certified Athletic Trainers at each school and serve more than 750 kids. Student athletes have access to assessment, treatment and rehabilitation from the designated Athletic Trainer, at no cost to the family.
This program is championed by the Orthopedic Center of Excellence, a partnership between Pullman Regional Hospital and Inland Orthopedics & Sports Medicine; Pullman Regional Hospital Foundation; and Washington State University Athletic Training Program.
An organized program ensures high school athletes are well prepared for activities, properly and efficiently treated for injuries and can return to play safely and quickly.
The athletic training program is sustained by donations. Every dollar is invested back into student-athletes through the salaries of the athletic trainers, equipment and supplies.
