Since 1987, we have helped more than 20,000 dogs and cats find their forever home. $0.88 of every dollar raised goes DIRECTLY to the animals in our care.
Story
OUR IMPACT:
• We are the oldest no-kill rescue in the area, serving Wake County and the surrounding communities.
• In 2024, we received BOTH “Best Nonprofit of Wake County” AND “Best Nonprofit of the Triangle” awards from INDY Weekly!
• Since our inception nearly 38 years ago, we have helped over 20,000 dogs and cats find their forever homes.
• In 2024, we rescued 337 cats and 275 dogs that had been abandoned, surrendered or stray.
• Last year, we placed 328 cats and 159 dogs for adoption into their “furever” families.
• 123 dogs were transported out of North Carolina for adoption.
• Approximately 88% of every dollar we raise goes directly to help the animals in our care.
