As an organization with more than a century of experience in caring for our community, the Valley of the Sun YMCA responds quickly to these challenges; creatively expanding our programs to meet our community when, where and how we are needed most.

ADVANCING CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT

Y programs are committed to executing experiences rich in social/emotional learning because youth do better when they have supportive adults nurturing their potential.

In 2023, the Y will: Make Early Learning accessible to help low-income families get enrolled and increase in kindergarten readiness

DROWNING PREVENTION

Y programs provide critical safety around water knowledge and teach swimming skills for youth and adults.

In 2023, the Y will: Provide 150 Safety Around Water lessons for the Ross Farnsworth - East Valley Family YMCA and Mesa West communities

STRENGTHENING FAMILIES

Y programs support parents in creating stronger families to lower child poverty, reduce social-isolation, increase positive health outcomes, and increase family income.

In 2023, the Y will: Support more single-parent families with memberships, launch new family programming

DEVELOPING COMMUNITY LEADERS

Y programs provide experiences that build a sense of belonging and welcome young people to develop their self-identity.

In 2023, the Y will: Serve at-risk youth by providing scholarships to participate in youth sports programs
