Story
Are you passionate about improving young people’s life chances?
Through 50 years of heavy usage and building disrepair, Riverside Youth Club was in desperate need of restoration and was forced to close in 2019. Thanks to a major community appeal, we have turned this around and together, we are transforming Riverside.
Our fundraising has meant building and construction is now underway, including a new community football pitch. However, we have no suitable furniture, fittings and equipment for young people.
Could you help us with this urgent campaign by donating?
Riverside is like a second home to me, I’ve been going there from the age of eight. Revitalising our youth club will bring a great sense of unity to the community that has been lost in recent years - Millie
How can you help?
Donating money. Every amount is massively appreciated and means the world to the young people patiently waiting for Riverside to re-open.
Other ways to get involved;
1. Donating equipment
If you are a business, organisation or institution with equipment in good condition you would be interested in donating to Riverside, we would love to connect with you! Please get in touch with our Project Manager (details below).

2. Fundraise with us
The Youth First team is running several initiatives to raise the funds for Riverside to realize its potential. The Riverside Young Advisors Group , a growing group of young people from the community between ages 8-18, are co-producing creative fundraising initiatives. Youth First will be running the London Half Marathon in September 2024, further community efforts and partnerships to create the beautiful refurbished centre young people have co-designed and envisioned.
Anyone who wishes to get involved, we would love to hear from you. Please reach out to our Project Manager below if interested.
