Story
Torus Foundation is delighted to be once again hosting Retro Sports Day, a fantastic fun-filled event with the aim of raising an ambitious £12,000 to help reach even more young people with activities and support at our FireFit Youth and Community Hub in South Liverpool.
Businesses across the North West have been invited to sign up a team to join our classic sports day of retro games, all while supporting the young community.
While you may not be joining us on the day, all donations you wish to provide will be gratefully received.
As the charitable arm of Torus, one of the largest social landlords in the North West, Torus Foundation is proud to provide a varied programme of support for some of the country's most disadvantaged neighbourhoods.
As one of the Foundation’s key projects, FireFit Youth and Community Hub is a place where young people feel safe and secure, have a sense of belonging, feel trusted, respected and listened to.
As a result of the ongoing cost of living crisis, FireFit is helping to reduce some of the pressure being felt by families, by removing all entrance fees for young people accessing facilities and also providing free hot food to the young members attending sessions.
Since introducing the support, the team have been engaging with 145 young people on average each night.
Thanks to your generous donations, we can continue to provide even more young people with access to free activities at FireFit and continue to grow stronger communities.
If you would like your business to participate with a team of four people at the event, please get in touch via partnerships@torusfoundation.org.uk but please note tickets sell out fast!
