Streets of Raith are lifelong Raith fans Sandy Power and Martyn Rollo Rose. The pair are releasing their original song 'Unthinkable, Surely' into streaming platforms and Bandcamp on November 15th in the run up to the 30th Anniversary of Raith Rover's historic Coca Cola Cup Final win on November 27th. The song also features backing vocals by local folk singer Fiona Forbes. The song was recorded by Sandy at his home studio as well as at EFR Studios in Kirkcaldy. The duo are hoping to encourage donations to the Raith Rovers Community Foundation's Fundraiser through the release of the song, in which the lyrics talk about some of the significant high points in Raith's history.
We're raising funds to help support Raith Rovers Community Foundations 'Reminiscing Raith' Programme. Reminiscing Raith is a bi-weekly programme aimed at supporting those experiencing social isolation, poor mental health and those experiencing food poverty also. Throughout the year, over 20 guest speakers have delivered to audiences totalling 900 supporters. The aim of the programme is to have guest speakers to share memories and tales of the past which will engage and start discussions within the group. We offer a warm, safe space for those attending our sessions, as for many this social hub for reflection becomes a highlight of their week.
Social Isolation and Food Poverty is at the heart of our community. Our services as a Foundation have seen our programmes now interact with over 1000 people on a weekly basis through innovative and creative opportunities.
Thank you for your support!
