My first major loss was the death of my dad when I was 18. The gift of Swedenborg's descriptions of the afterlife were a warm comfort as we grieved and adjusted, and I don't know how I would have gotten through that and other losses without this information. I could see how God prepared Dad for the transition during his final days. I knew it was not a "waste" that he had gone earlier than expected, because he would be living a full and useful life in the spiritual world. And I knew the separation would only be temporary. That's why I feel driven to share this information with others through the Swedenborg Foundation and Off The Left Eye.
