The Irish Cancer Society Relay For Life brings the whole community together to CELEBRATE the lives of cancer survivors, to REMEMBER those lost to the disease, and to FIGHT BACK by increasing our awareness of cancer and the services provided by the Irish Cancer Society.
Relay For Life is a celebration of solidarity. Here, you have the power to come together and change the cancer experience within your community.
Relay demonstrates that you are not alone on your cancer journey. Relay gives Hope and Encouragement.
Unfortunately this year due to Covid19 we've had to cancel our physical Relay which was due to be on September 5th. Relay For Life Middleton are hoping however to have a physical candle of hope ceremony with fundraising done in advance by our local teams and community.
We would be thrilled if you were able to get involved this year in either a fundraising event or a donation. Some fundraising ideas that could be done in a safe/socially distant way include:
* Walking/Running/Cycling 24km between August 5th - September 5th.
* 24 minutes of activity/singing/dancing/trampolining during the month
* a socially distanced event in your garden/local park/outdoor area, like a coffee morning/cold refreshments for your neighbours and friends
* or any other fundraising idea that you can organise safely
