What is Relay for Life:
The Irish Cancer Societys Relay For Life is a fundraising event that brings communities together to Celebrate the lives of cancer survivors, to Remember those lost to the disease, and to Fight Back by increasing our knowledge of cancer and by raising money to fund life-saving cancer research and free services for cancer patients and their loved ones.
Get Ready for our Relay Challenge!
Run/Walk 155km in the month of March
This year we have signed up to raise money by setting up the Relay for Life TU Dublin Challenge of running/walking 155km throughout the month of March while at the same time raising CANCER awareness. We have all been touched by cancer in some way, and this event gives a community like TU Dublin the opportunity to FIGHT BACK!
CANCER will affect 1 in 3 people in Ireland during their lifetime. Unfortunately, this statistic is only rising. WE HAVE TO FIGHT BACK! All the funds raised through sponsorship and fundraising will go to support the IRISH CANCER SOCIETY s national services and mission to achieve world-class cancer services, working towards fewer people getting CANCER and that those that do- have better outcomes and improved treatment. FIGHT BACK!
