Some churches are very good at working with single people, others are too focused on families and people feel lost and isolated. We have found that once we have worked with churches around singleness, they have a ‘lightbulb’ moment and realise it is time to change to be more single friendly.

Our planned expansion will include the recruitment of six regional champions across the UK and enable us to reach more socially isolated single Christians, increasing the number of Single Friendly Churches. This year we have been able to reach more parts of the country including Edinburgh, Yorkshire and South Wales but our small existing team can’t hope to serve the whole country. That is why our strategy is to develop a network of Regional Champions and this requires further funding.

Our work in the South West evidences the need for wider support. In 2024 we met hundreds of people across the region as we continue our mission to encourage churches to welcome and value single people. We have been busy providing training sessions and webinars for churches as vital resources to enrich the spiritual lives of single Christians.

In 2025 we plan to recruit Regional Champions across the UK to spread the word and inspire a movement that truly welcomes and values single people in all our churches.
